Der unter dem Pride of Strathspey Label von Gordon und MacPhail in den späten 1980er Jahren abgefüllte Highland Single Malt gilt unter Insidern und Kennern als Macallan.

A very rare and stunning pre war vintage 1937 50 years old Pride of Strathspey Miniature Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky at 40.0% vol. from the legendary Rare Old Malt Selection by Gordon and MacPhail, distilled on 6th and 13th December 1937 and bottled in December 1987 in a limited edition. Rumour well and truly has it that these un-named highland malts from Gordon and MacPhail were in fact Macallan at this time.
