The rare third release from the year 2003 and with over 25 years the second oldest bottling from the vintage 1977 Ardbeg Non Chill Filtered Limited Edition series of the Ardbeg Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky and the only known Ardbeg original bottling from the year 1977, which was bottled in the year 2003 without age statement and without chill filtration at 46.0% vol. The stunning Ardbeg 1977 Limited Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled from 2001 to 2004 in a limited edition without an indication of the year of bottling and therefore contains 24-27 year old Islay single malt from the old Ardbeg distillery before the takeover by Glenmorangie in 1997.
Like all old Ardbeg bottlings from the 1970s, the Vintage Limited 1977 Edition Ardbeg Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky is now rarely found and, with its original character and maturation in fine old bourbon oak casks, is considered a special highlight among whisky fans and collectors.
