A rare vintage 1979 14 year-old Glenrothes Speyside single malt scotch whisky, distilled on 3rd August 1979 and after over 14 years maturation in selected oak casks until 5. October 1993, bottled in the limited edition Glenrothes Vintage limited edition 1994 bottling series at 43.0% abv.
Glenrothes used predominantly first fill sherry casks for this vintage edition Speyside whisky, resulting in an exceptional, complex single malt with rich flavours, spicy notes and light smoke - at the same time, this was the last vintage of the old and traditionally handcrafted whisky before Glenrothes switched to computer processing.
