This rare vintage 1995 12 year old Lagavulin Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky was matured for 12 years in 1st fill European sherry oak casks and bottled exclusively in individually numbered bottles for the Friends of the Classic Malts as FOCM Special Release 2008 on 10th June 2008. Only available in limited quantities worldwide and a perfect introduction to the sheer magnificence of Lagavulin's Special Releases. A true Lagavulin Islay single malt Scotch whisky at its best and the younger brother of Lagavulin's multi-award winning 16 year old classic.

- Nose: Light, floral, minty, meaty, smooth and peaty, with some leather, sherry and orange notes
- Palate: Sweet, malty, peaty, slightly rubbery, quite salty, on orange, with some tangerine and seaweed. Lightly floral and fragrant.
- Finish: medium, dry, oaky, smoky, malty, slightly rubbery and bitter, with some salted liquorice, grapes, chocolate and burnt sugar
