This rare vintage 1993 21 years old Laphroaig Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was bottled in the year 2015 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Laphroaig distillery and was only exclusively available for Friends of Laphroaig in a ballot. The great Laphroaig Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled in the year 1993, was matured for 21 years in first fill bourbon and American oak barrels and was bottled in 35cl bottles without added colouring and chill filtration at 48.4% vol. in a limited edition.
This special Islay single malt is one of the legendary whiskies from Laphroaig today, where the rough Atlantic climate around the island of Islay and the extraordinary character can be literally felt on the tongue. The American oak casks used in the making of this special 21 years Laphroaig Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky are lightly fired before filling to impart the slightly sweet vanilla-nuttiness of the oak.
