This very rare 7 years old Old Weller The Original 107 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey with the bottle number H-8628 in the old dumpy bottle version and 53.5% ABV was bottled in the mid 1980s at the old Stitzel-Weller Distillery Louisvile, which was closed in the year 1992. Today it is one of the very rare and old bottlings of W.L. Weller and Sons, Louisville.
The beautiful bronze colour reflects the light wonderfully and shows an almost perfect purity. Its aroma is characterized by a nutty almond note and vanilla. On the palate, the character is marked by the use of wheat, which is reflected in its sweet and velvety texture. The finale is also extremely soft and long, with an oak note full of character and reminiscent of the great appearance of a Pappy Van Winkle - a magnificent whiskey from W.L. Weller and an especially rare collector s item for connoisseurs and collectors of outstanding old style Bourbon whiskeys!
