This special vintage 1957 Talisker Black Label Pure Highland Malt was distilled before a fire destroyed the stillhouse in 1960, using Talisker s own maltings and was probably bottled in the late 1970s to mid-1980s at 75cl in a limited edition and imported by the Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft in Bremen for the German market.
The eagle (golden and sea eagle) depicted by Gordon and MacPhail in the label is as much a part of the Isle of Skye s wildlife as its world-famous whisky distillery, Talisker.
