Dieser feine und exklusive South Pacific Full Proof Premium Single Cask Rum wurde im Jahr 2009 destilliert und durfte 10 Jahre in einem Eichenholzfass mit der Cask Nr. WP09623 reifen, bevor er im Jahr 2019 ohne Zusatz von Zucker und Farbstoffen in einer limitierten Auflage von 204 Flaschen in Full Proof mit 62,3% Vol. exklusiv für den deutschen Distributor Sansibar abgefüllt wurde.
Entstanden im Jahr 2016 aus der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Hidden Spirits und Stefano Cremaschi, ist The Wild Parrot eine Serie von Rumsorten, die aus den berühmtesten Destillerien ausgewählt und aus einem einzigartigen Fass in natural Cask Strenght abgefüllt wurden. Jede der exklusviven Abfüllungen aus dieser limitierten Series ist mit einem dekorativen Flaschen-Label der italienischen Künstlerin Giulia Ronchetti versehen.
Die Brennerei South Pacific im Südpazifik befindet sich in Lautoka auf der Insel Fji und nahm im Jahr 1980 die Produktion auf, um den Bedarf an importierten Spirituosen wie Whisky und Gin zu verringern. Die Entscheidung, zusätzlich Rum zu produzieren, war logisch, da das Land über eine aktive Zuckerindustrie verfügte, die sie mit Melasse versorgte. A rare vintage 2009 10 year old South Pacific Full Proof island of Fiji Single Cask Rum from the Italian bottler Hidden Spirits and Stefano Cremaschi from famous The Wild Parrot Single Cask Rum series, which is well known among connoisseurs. The South Pacific distillery is located in Lautoka on the island of Fjfi and began production in 1980 in order to reduce their need for imported spirits like whisky and gin. The decision to make rum in addition was logical given the country had an active sugar industry to provide it with molasses. Today it is a subsidiary of the Australian brewer, the Fosters group, who bought the Willowbank distillery in New Zealand from Seagram in 1997, moving its pot stills to South Pacific the same year.
