Bowmore 1972 21 Years Single Sherry Butt Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Cask Strength 49.1% ABV with the old Seagull label - extremely rare and limited version of a top whisky!
This very rare 21 years in a Sherry butt matured vintage 1972 Bowmore Islay single malt whisky was bottled at 22. July 1993 in individually numbered bottles. As at the time of the malt is still produced on tradion art. The cool moist sea breezes and the pure water give the Single Malt Whisky its unique quality and fine spicy complexity. This unique bottle of Bowmore 21 Years from 1972 with the old Seagull label and the Klass rectangular gift box is now almost completely disappeared from the market and as the Bowmore Seadragon, the Moonlight or the rare Black Bowmore from 1964 as well as all the old bottlings of the 60s and 70s an absolute rarity and a coveted object among collectors and connoisseurs of this particularly old and rare bottlings of Bowmore.
- Nose: Dried fruits intermingled with Herbal notes of thyme and rosemary. Cough syrup. Old furniture. Leather at the background. Whiff of smoke, but not much.
- Palate: Orange marmelade. Figs and dates. Polished oak. Nutty chewy richness. Caramel fudge. Some sherry noters. Dark chocolate. Cinnamon. Also more peaty than the nose.
- Finish: Medium long. Quite dry. Light pepper and some salt.
