The rare 3rd release of the vintage 1989 22 year old Bruichladdich Black Art 03.1 limited edition release Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled in 2012 in a limited edition without added colouring and chill-filltration at cask strength 48.7% vol. The Bruichladdich Black Art 03.1 Islay Single Malt matured for 22 years in selected Bourbon / American oak and French red wine casks in the old warehouse and the result is a great, intense and complex Islay single malt, which convinces with its walnut-brown colour and wonderful aromas.
Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the leadership of Jim McEwan, the distillery and its whisky have shone like never before. Jim McEwan - born on Islay and former master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in the production of Scotch whisky.
