A very special vintage 1973 30 years old Dalmore Highland single malt scotch whisky with a special sherry cask finish by Richard Paterson, the Dalmore Master Blender is a maestro of finishing maturation. The whisky spent long years in white American oak casks and was finished in sherry casks, which previously held Gonzales Byass Mathusalem sherry (produced with 75% Palomino and 25% Pedro Ximenez grapes). Combines the classic nobility of Dalmore with the nuances of exotic fruit and spices. Fragrance is sublime and the flavour tingles on the palate with traces of sweet berries, oranges and spanish wine. There is a whiff of the salt air that blows over this old distillery which is sited on the North shore of the Firth of Cromerty in the Scottish Highlands. Drawing water from the nearby Loch Morie and Barley from the rich soil of the Black isle this distillery which for a hundred years was owned by the Mackenzie Clan has produced some of the world s great whiskies. The whisky comes in individually numbered bottles signed by Mr. Paterson - a very rare discontinued edition!
