The independent bottler Gordon and MacPhail bottled its single malts for many well-known distilleries decades ago and, as the original bottler, set aside many of the best casks for later times. This old bottling of the 21 Years Glenlivet Speyside single malt Scotch whisky with the J.G. Smiths label is of exceptional quality and is rarely found today.

- Nose: Sherry influences, with a hint of liquorice and toasted almonds. A stewed figs fruity edge remains.
- Palate: Sherry aromas with a delicate fruity edge - cooked figs. Hints of mixed spices and a touch of milk chocolate emerge.
