The vintage 1996 15 year old Glenlivet Kilimanjaro Speyside Single Malt Scotch was distilled in 1996 and after 15 years of maturation in a 2nd fill hogshead with the cask no. 16242 was bottled on 25th October 2011 in the limited single cask edition exclusively for Germany in an edition of only 232 bottles without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at cask strength 58.2% vol.
The Glenlivet Kilimanjaro is a fresh and harmonious Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, fresh, sweet and fruity on the nose with citrus notes, paired with heather honey and a spicy cinnamon note. The flavour is full and fruity, with a hint of oak and spicy cinnamon. The finish is long with a tangy spiciness and is accompanied by a fine sweetness.
