The Highland Park Ice Edition Orkney Islands Single Malt Scotch is an exclusive special bottling from the year 2016 and is inspired by the mystical ice giants from Norse mythology and was bottled in a limited edition without the addition of colourants and chill-filtration at cask strength 53.9% vol. The Highland Park Ice is the ideal addition to the Valhalla collection from 2015, which is named after the Norse gods. Only 30,000 bottles were released worldwide, 3,000 of which were destined for Germany. The 17 Years Highland Park Ice single malt was named after the ice giants that appear in Norse mythology.
The 17-year-old Highland Park Orkney Islands single malt Scotch whisky was matured in 1st-fill bourbon casks and boasts a vibrant gold colour. The aroma has a rich scent of fresh pineapple, ginger and other dried fruits as well as fine peat smoke. On the palate, there are lovely traces of blossom honey with violets and vanilla. In the finish, the single malt is surprisingly balanced with a creamy spiciness with traces of wood and heather.
