A exceptional vintage 1977 25 year old Lagavulin Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1977 and bottled after 25 years maturation in the year 2002 without chill filtration at cask strength 57.2% abv as a Special Release in a limited edition of 9.000 individually numbered bottles.
On the nose, it shows sweet sherry notes, along with leather, tobacco, pepper and of course smoky and maritime notes. On the palate, it makes itself felt softly at first with sweet sherry. Then coal soot, citrus, smoke and seaweed come in with a pinch of salt. The long, sweet finish ends with a spicy dryness.
A magnificent Lagavulin Islay single malt for connoisseurs and collectors of exceptional Scotch whiskies, which is now becoming increasingly hard to find!
