A rare vintage 1989 20 year old Laphroaig Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky, distilled in March 1989 and bottled after 20 years maturation in a sherry cask in August 2009 without the addition of colouring or chill-filtration in a limited edition of only 174 bottles in Douglas Laing's Old and Rare Platinum Selection at natural cask strength at 58.1% vol. For those who have discovered the robust and richly flavoured Laphroaig Islay single malt whisky for themselves, the special Islay peat, sherry combined with citrus fruits, fresh barley malt, ripe bananas with marzipan and the smoky and special Islay flavours are traditionally offered.
