This rare Laphroaig Islay single malt has a sweet aroma of sweet plums and dark chocolate, followed by the distinctive Islay flavours. For those who have discovered the robust and richly flavoured Islay single malt whisky for themselves, the special Islay peat, sherry combined with spicy sherry sweetness and the special peat flavours are traditionally offered.

- Nose: initial sweetness of soft Demerara sugar an baked red apples, aromas of cinnamon and vanilla are released, followed by the subtlest hint of rich, dark chocolate. The distinctive Laphroaig smoky peat aroma underlies the spiced apple scents.
- Palate: oaky dryness combined with peat that tends to overpower the sweeter flavours. Softy dryness, before a strong peat tang and a salty touch of the ocean appear.
