This rare vintage 1990 21 year old Rosebank Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a rare triple distilled single malt from the famous and long closed Lowland distillery Rosebank, bottled in 2011 in an edition of 5.886 individually numbered bottles without added colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 53.8% vol. It is the second official edition of a Rosebank since the legendary Dieageo limited Rare Malts Selection from the 1970s and 1980s.
Some of the oldest stocks of the lost Lowland classic were bottled by Diageo in this edition, the distillate matured in both selected American bourbon and European oak casks. Michael Jackson described the whisky as the finest example of a Lowland malt and the closure of the distillery as a great loss. Jim Murray claims Rosebank is the superior Lowlander and should be voted in the top five of all Scottish malts.
