A very rare and epic vintage 1969 34 year old Springbank Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1969 and bottled after 34 years maturation in an oak cask in the year 2002 without added colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 40.9% vol. in a limited edition of only 196 bottles by Douglas Laing in the Old Malt Cask single cask bottling series.
The Springbank distillery is considered one of the world's cult distilleries and displays a perfect example of Campbeltown's characteristic single malt. For dedicated Springbank lovers and whisky collectors, especially the bottlings from the 1960s and 1970s as well as the iconic old Local-Barley expressions epitomise the golden era of Springbank , many of the old bottlings from this decade show the original Springbank character in a particularly impressive way and are considered legendary today.
