The special Yamazaki Boubon Barrrel Release 2013 Japan Single Malt Whisky matured in 180-litre barrels in which old bourbon whisky was previously stored, was only released in a limited edition and was bottled without the addition of colourings and chill-filtration at 48.0% vol.
The Suntory Yamazaki Bourbon Barrel Japan Single Malt Whisky is made from only the finest and most original ingredients and the 2013 vintage was awarded the gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2014. Ingredients that are transformed into a wonderfully harmonious single malt during the skilful distillation process. Its soft water comes from the springs of the River Hakushu and the wood in which it matures comes from ex-bourbon barrels, which give it wonderful and unique notes of tropical fruit, vanilla and apple pie.
