The Suntory Yamazaki Limited Edition 2014 Japanese Single Malt Whisky is the 1st release from the Yamazaki Limited Edition series and a fine composition of selected Yamazaki single malts, which consist of 20 years in European Oak Sherry Casks and European Oak Port Casks as well as a young malt matured in bourbon barrels and was bottled without colouring at 43.0% vol.
On the nose, the Yamazaki Limited Edition 2014 Japan Single Malt has fruity aromas of melon, citrus fruit, passion fruit, tropical fruit, honey and vanilla, the flavour has citrus fruit, oranges, mint, notes of spices and pepper and fine oak, the finish is harmonious, long and warm.
The Yamazaki Japan Single Malt Whisky is made from only the finest and most original ingredients. Ingredients that are transformed into a wonderfully harmonious single malt during the skilful distillation process. Its soft water comes from the springs of the River Hakushu and the wood in which it matures was previously home to fine sherry and port wine and young bourbon. The taste of the whisky also shines with delightful sherry and vanilla flavours, making it a very special experience for the taste buds. Suntory's best-known whisky brands are Yamazaki, Hibiki and Hakushu. Two 20-year-old Yamazaki single malt whiskies have been married with a younger one and the typical sweet and fruity flavours of Yamazaki single malts are particularly expressed in this exclusive limited version. A range of flavours as rich as those of the oldest Japanese whiskies and an astonishing depth have been brought out.
