This rare 18 year old Auchentoshan Limited Edition Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was matured for 18 years in selected 1st and 2nd fill Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled in the year 2006 in a limited edition of 4.800 bottles at cask strength 55.8% vol.
As in the old days, the Lowland singel malt is still produced in the traditional way. Auchentoshan is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that practices triple distillation as was common in the past. This makes the whisky very light and soft. Furthermore, the malt used is only slightly peated.
This old bottling of the 18 years Auchentoshan Oloroso Sherry Cask Limited Edition Lowland Single Malt Scotch whisky is rarely found today and is considered a rarity among connoisseurs, discerning whisky collectors and lovers of fine old Scotch whiskies.
