A rare vintage 1979 15 year old Balvenie Single Barrel Highland Single Malt Whisky distilled on 18th August 1979 and matured for 16 years in a traditional oak cask with cask no. 14674, personally selected by Balvenie Malt Master David Stewart and bottled on 25th August 1995 in an edition of 300 individually hand numbered bottles.
The special Balvenie Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled without the addition of dyes or chill filtration and the label was hand-lettered with the cask number, bottling date, in-cask date and individual bottle number. The annual editions of the Balvenie Single Barrel Edition, which are only available in limited quantities, are of exceptional quality, are usually sold out within a short period of time and are now considered by connoisseurs and collectors to be a sought-after single cask bottling.
