This fine vintage 1991 25 year old Ben Nevis Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled after more than 25 years of maturation in a fresh sherry butt with the cask no. 3766 exclusively for the 25th anniversary of Whisky.de in a limited edition of 555 individually hand-numbered bottles. The selected sherry butt with the cask no. 3677 was filled with fresh distillate on 18th October 1991, was matured for over 25 years in Ben Nevis warehouse no. 3, and was bottled in April 2017 without the addition of colourants or chill-filtration at cask strength 57.1% vol. and each bottle also bears the signature of the managing director.
The vintage 1991 25 years Ben Nevis Fresh Sherry Butt Cask No. 3766 Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky is complex and intense, on the nose it is full bodied with apple, orange slices, milk chocolate, sweet vanilla and dried berries, the taste is powerful with heavy fruit flavours, black pepper, spicy wood with bitter oak tones and an intense herbal note with a long and warming finish - an impressive sherry cask that will be remembered!
