A very rare and stunning vintage 1966 38 years-old Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the famous Cask Strength Rare Auld single cask series by Duncan Taylor, which was distilled in May 1966 and after over 38 years of maturation in oak cask no. 3325 bottled in July 2004 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration in a batch of only 179 individually hand-numbered bottles at cask strength 42.8% vol. This great vintage 1966 38 years-old Bowmore Islay Single Cask Scotch Whisky has a beautiful amber colour and is a delight due to its maturity and complexity.
The whiskies offered between 2002 and 2011 by Duncan Taylor in the Cask Strength Rare Auld Edition acquired by Abe Rosenberg since the early 1960s come from the more than 4000 casks of selected premium distilleries, such as Aberlour, Ben Riach, Bowmore, Brora, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caperdonich, Clynelish, Dallas Dhu, Dalmore, Glen Grant, Glen Moray, Glenburgie, Glenesk, Glenlivet, Glenlossie, Glenrothes, Highland Park, Inchgower, Knockando, Linlithgow, Laphroaig, Longmorn, Macallan, Macduff, Miltonduff, Old Pulteney, Springbank, Strathisla, Strathmill, Tamdhu and Tomatin and are all bottled as single cask whiskies in limited editions.
