The special and limited vintage 1983 27 year old Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky was distilled on 12th November 1983, matured for 27 years in a selected sherry hogshead in the legendary no. 1 vaults warehouse and was bottled on 16th March 2011 exclusively for the travel retail exclusive market in an edition of only 107 bottles without the addition of colouring and chill filtration at cask strength 55.6% vol. and was sold out within a very short time.
To emphasise the exclusivity and uniqueness of this Bowmore Islay whisky, it was sealed with black wax as in the old days. Like the island of Islay, this exceptional Bowmore Single Cask Scotch whisky with its beautiful bronze colour shows a unique quality and has a special complexity. An almost ingenious and highly rated Bowmore Islay single malt Scotch whisky that can easily compete with the legendary Bowmore Seadragon and the famous old bottlings from the 1960s and 1970s.
