A fine vintage 1996 20 year old Bowmore Islay single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in September 1996 and bottled after over 20 years of maturation in a refill hogshead with the cask no. HL13301 by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask Limited Single Cask Edition in February 2017 without the addition of colourants and without chill filtration with an edition of 275 bottles at 50.0% vol.

Hunter Laing and Co. Ltd is a family business with a long tradition of blending and bottling the finest Scotch whiskies and can now proudly look back on 50 years of experience in the whisky industry. In 1962, his father sent him to the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay to learn the craft of distilling directly from the best. He returned to the family business in 1964 and began supporting his father until his death in 1982, travelling the world to sell the company's products - bottlings that were regularly bestsellers in Asia and South America. To create these whiskies, Laing bought many hundreds of casks from many renowned distilleries across Scotland - some of which have sadly long since closed. However, the carefully selected casks are still owned by the family and it is thanks to Frederick Laing's foresight that we are still able to enjoy these exceptional whiskies today. Brothers Fred and Stewart Laing formed the third generation of independent bottler Douglas Laing until they parted ways in early 2014. Stewart Laing founded the company Hunter Laing with his two sons and took over part of the joint business. Their shared goal in the years to come is to ensure that Hunter Laing and Co Ltd continues to be recognised as one of the most respected and trusted names in the Scotch whisky market. Even before their time at Hunter Laing, they were able to gain experience as bottlers with their own company, which was implemented in Hunter Laing. Hunter Laing's corporate objective is to maintain and build on its excellent reputation as one of the most respected and trusted companies in the whisky industry.
