This rare vintage 1997 11 year old Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled in April 1997, matured for nearly 11 years in a Europen oak cask with the cask-no. 4731 and was bottled in the Jack Wiebers Old Train Line limited edition range as an independed bottling in January 2008 without chill filtration and added colouring at cask strength 53.9% abv in an edition of only 384 bottles - each botle was labelled by hand and individually numbered.
The 11 year old Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky received 90 points at WhiskyFun and presents itself in the nose with coffee, vanilla fondant, sea air, seaweed, as well as peat and then shows itself extremely concentrated with smoke and notes of medicine - a great and young Bowmore with extraordinary character, which definitely knows how to convince!
