This rare vintage 2004 10 years-old hand-filled limited edition Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled on 22th April 2004 and bottled after over 10 years of maturation in a 1st fill Oloroso sherry butt with cask no. 1487 from the Bowmore No.1 Vaults in an edition of about 700 bottles (information unconfirmed!) on 24th March 2015 on site exclusively at the distillery as Handfilled Limited Edition without the addition of dyes and chill filtration at natural cask strength 57.5% Vol. and was officially not available in any stores.
Every part of the whisky was finished by hand: the barley was malted, hand turned and tradionally peat kiln dried at the distillery. After distillation at 22th April 2004, the spirit spent more than 10 years slowly maturing in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry butt before finally for a small number of visitors could be filled by hand from the cask at 24th March 2015. This is a Bowmore in its natural form, of the barley, and its maturation in the bottle. The result is a Bowmore with a nice deep bronze color. A Bowmore Islay whisky with great body that is reminiscent of old times. This special and delicious Bowmore is rarely to found and is one of the sought-after bottlings among connoisseurs and collectors. Each bottle also comes with its own bag and certificate of authenticity.
