The magnificent and exquisite 30 year old Bowmore Kranna Dubh Celtic Legend of the Sea Dragon is now recognised by connoisseurs and collectors as unquestionably outstanding and tells the Celtic story of the sea dragon Kranna Dubh. This special Bowmore Islay single malt Scotch whisky contains 30-year-old Islay single malt from the 1970s matured in selected sherry casks and was bottled in an edition of only 1800 bottles in the year 2006 at 43.0% vol. for the travel retail market and for sale directly on site at the distillery.
The cool, damp sea breezes, rich peat and pure water give the exceptional Bowmore Islay single malt Scotch whisky its unique quality and subtle spicy complexity. The 30 years Bowmore Kranna Dubh Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky is intense, full and smoky, on the nose it shows smoke with fine sherry, tropical fruits, oranges, apricot and cherry jam, cloves, sultanas and tar, the flavour is spicy, peaty, rich and sweet, with citrus, chocolate, leather, pepper, wood varnish, maritime notes with salt water and charred wood with a long, elegant and complex finish - an impressive Bowmore with great body and finesse, which received 90 points from Serge on Whiskyfun!
