The rare and exceptional Bowmore Claret Bordeaux Wine Casked Islay Single Malt Whisky was matured for 12 years in bourbon casks and then finished for more than 2 years in selected Bordeaux red wine casks. It was bottled in the year 1999 at cask strength 56.0% vol. in an edition of 12.000 individually numbered bottles.
The cool damp sea breezes, rich peat and pure water give the single malt whisky its unique quality and fine spicy complexity - berry fruits from the wine cask finish mingle with the underlying peat smoke and sea salt from the heart of Bowmore.
The Bowmore Claret Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is now a particularly sought-after and now rarely available old bottling from Bowmore with the unusual Seagull label and the individually numbered back label for connoisseurs, the discerning whisky collector and lovers of fine old Scotch whiskies.
