The rare 1st release of the magnificent 10 year old Bowmore The Devils Casks Small Batch Release 1st Fill Sherry Casks Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled in an edition of 6,000 bottles without the addition of colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 56.9% vol. and was one of Bowmore s highly anticipated bottlings of the year 2013. The exceptional Bowmore Islay single malt Scotch whisky was the 1st batch of the legendary Bowmore The Devils Casks small batch release series and was matured for 10 years in selected first fill sherry casks, has a dark mahogany colour and impresses with deep, juicy sherry aromas mixed with sweet peat and the intense Bowmore character.
As in the old days, the Bowmore single malt Scotch whisky is still produced in the traditional way. The cool, damp sea breezes, the rich peat stocks and the pure water give Bowmore single malt Scotch whisky its unique quality and subtle spicy complexity.
According to legend, the devil once visited the church at Bowmore. However, as it was built in the round, he found no place to hide from the spiteful congregation of Bowmore.
