A rare and terrific vintage 1986 17 year old Bruichladdich Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky, distilled on 5th February 1986 and bottled after 17 years maturation in a fresh sherry cask with cask no. 1 in the year 2004 as the first edition of the Baraille (Gaelic for cask) Eilean Mo Chridhe Owner Cask first in series in a limited edition of only 500 individually numbered bottles without the addition of colouring and chill filtration at cask strength 54.4% vol.
The vintage 1986 17 years Bruichladdich Baraille Fresh Sherry Cask No. 1 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is intense with strong sherry and oak aromas, on the nose it shows dry sherry, dried apricots, sultanas and nuts, spices and fine wood, the taste is creamy and with sweet dried fruits, spicy oak, caramel, leather, dark spices, nuts and malt with a long and warm finish that also goes wonderfully with a fine Cohiba!
