A rare and great vintage 1991 20 year old Bruichladdich Islay single malt Scotch whisky, distilled on 9th October 1991 and bottled after over 20 years maturation in a special bourbon cask and a finish in a selected Spanish Callejo wine cask on 26th January 2012 in the Distillery Micro Provenance Single Cask Evolution Exploration series without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at cask strength 48.2% vol. exclusively for the Svenska Whisky Förbundet in a limited edition of only 306 individually numbered bottles.
The exclusive vintage 1991 20 years Bruichladdich Micro Provenance Series comprises a series of single cask bottlings hand selected by Jim McEwan and Adam Hannett to showcase the complexity and provenance of each cask. The whisky matured at Loch Indaal in over two hundred different casks, from the renowned Spanish bodegas of Jerez to the great châteaux of Burgundy and the vineyards of Sauternes - casks used to store organic and biodynamic wines now house whisky distilled on Islay, Orkney and the Scottish mainland.
