A rare and unique vintage 2005 5 year old Bruichladdich Octomore 03.1_152 super heavily peated Islay single malt scotch whisky and the 4. release from the limited Octomore range from the year 2010. The special Octomore Edition 03.1 Ochdamh-mor Islay single malt was distilled in the year 2005 and, after over 5 years of maturation in American oak bourbon casks, bottled in August 2010 without the addition of dyes or chill filtration in an edition of 18.000 individually numbered bottles at cask strength 59.0% abv and 152 PPM.
This super heavily peated Islay single malt is distilled by Bruichladdich in memory of the old Octomore distillery, which was located above Port Charlotte, and was in its day one of the whiskies with the highest phenolic content in the world.
The heavily peated single malt Scotch whiskies from Bruichladdich s Octomore range are particularly sought-after among whisky-collectors and connoisseurs and have now reached cult status.
