The vintage 1990 23 years Bruichladdich Black Art 04.1 Limited Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky was matured for 23 years in selected American oak bourbon and European wine oak casks in the old warehouse 12 and the result is a fine, elegant, incredibly complex Islay single malt that seduces the eye, nose and palate in an extremely provocative way with its maroon colour and indescribable aromas.
Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the leadership of Master Distiller and whisky icon Jim McEwan - the Bruichladdich distillery and its whisky have shone like never before.
