A rare vintage 1996 17 years old Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the most northerly distillery on Islay at cask strength 53.4% vol. with no added colouring or chill filtration as a limited Feis Ile bottling that was only available on site at the distillery to celebrate Feis Ile 2014 in an edition of 301 individually hand numbered bottles.
This exceptional Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled on 7th November 1996, then matured in warehouse no. 4 in an ex-Cognac cask with cask no. 4 until 12th October 2007 and then received a finish in a selected luxrious French Sauternes dessert wine cask with cask no. 2 until its bottling on 23th December 2013.
The Bunnahabhain Westing Homes Limited Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky label was designed by Swedish artist Mathilda Holmqvist as part of the Tales of the Sea design competition and depicts the moment of the helmsman s return home to his remote and ruggedly beautiful harbour after battling stormy weather and raging seas. The label aims to raise awareness and supports The Fishermen s Mission, the only charity that provides emergency aid as well as care, alongside practical and emotional support, to help fishermen and their families.
