This rare 8 year old Caol Ila Islay single malt scotch whisky was bottled in the year 2007 as Diaegeo Unpeated Style Special Release without added colouring and chill filtration in natural cask strength at 64.9% abv in a limited edition of 9.690 bottles. The 8 years Caol Ila The Unpeated Style cask strength Islay single malt is the 2nd bottling from this special release produced since the year 2006 and was matured for 8 years in selected 1st fill bourbon casks. For this Caol Ila single malt, the distillery used unpeated barley, which makes the whisky not so peaty. The result is a very intense and, at 64.9% abv, particularly strong and peppery Islay single malt with a fine sweetness.
