A rare vintage 1994 23 year old Caroni Heavy Trinidad rum from the closed Caroni distillery and the first bottling with a double maturation from the Italian bottler and renowned rum specialist Velier. This 100° proof Caroni Heavy Trinidad Rum matured until the year 2008 in Trinidad, then a further 9 years in Guyana at Demerera Distillers Limited (DDL) and the double maturation in two different regions has given the unique Caroni Trinidad Rum its own and almost unique character. With an angel s share of undgt;85%, this is an incredibly dense, dry, deep Caroni rum and the excellent local climate and good maturation conditions ensured the extremely high quality of this extraordinary rum, which was bottled at 57.18% vol. as the 36th double maturation release in a limited edition in the year 2017 by the Italian bottler and renowned rum specialist Velier.
Selected and bottled by renowned bottler Velier, this remarkable 1994 Caroni Trinidad molasses-based rum has been aged to perfection for 23 years. The exceptionally HTR Caroni rum shows notes of vanilla, tar, leather, bicycle inner tube and tobacco on the nose, the flavour is expertly balanced, full-bodied and shows deep and complex undertones of tar, bitter, minty, woody and bicycle inner tube components. Its powerful and long-lasting finish impresses with subtle notes of wood, spices and its traditional and unique Caroni essence.
