A rare vintage 1998 17 year old Caroni 110° Proof Heavy Trinidad Rum from the closed distillery Caroni by the Italian bottler and rum specialist Velier and La Maison Du Whisky. This exclusive Caroni 110° Proof Extra Strong Trinidad Rum was distilled in February 1998, matured for over 15 years on the island of Trinidad until 22 September 2015 and was bottled in Scotland in November 2015. With an angel s share of 80%, this is an incredibly dense, dry, deep Caroni Trinidad Rum and the excellent local climate and good storage conditions ensure the extremely high quality of this extraordinary rum, which was bottled at cask strength 55.0% vol. in a limited edition in November 2015 without added sugar or colouring. Serge Valentin awarded 90 points for this first-class Trinidad rum! The bottle label is a reproduction of an original bottling from 1940 to commemorate the golden age of Trinidad rum - a real piece of history.
