This precious Caroni Tradional Column Trinidad Rum was distilled from molasses in a column still in 1998 and, and after 22 years of maturation in an oak cask, was bottled in the year 2020 by That Boutique-y Rum Company without the addition of colouring or sugar at cask strength 58.1% vol. in an edition of 246 individually numbered bottles.
With a unique aroma of mango, menthol, cherry, herbs and tea, its flavour profile is quite captivating and has nuances of chocolate, cherry, rubber and menthol. The 22 year old Caroni Batch 4 That Boutique-Y Traditional Column Trinidad Rum has a round and pleasant profile with mild and fruity notes with a nice mix of floral and fruity characteristics and does not show the typical dirty Caroni profile.
