A very special and stunning vintage 1992 17 year old limited edition Charity Dalmore Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky with a special Oporto port cask finish. The fine vintage 1992 17 years Dalmore Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky matured for 11 years in American oak Bourbon hogsheads, then received for 6 years a finish in selected Oporto port pipes and is a masterpiece of the master blender Richard Paterson called The Nose. The vintage 1992 17 years Dalmore MacKenzie Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled in the year 2010 in a limited edition of 2.400 bottles (+ 600 for travel retail) to support the Clan Mackenzie Society. The bottle s packaging of the Dalmore MacKenzie features an image of a painting by the painter Benjamin West. The famous Highland clan Mackenzie owned The Dalmore for almost 100 years and they are still linked by the family symbol, the stag s head, which The Dalmore still uses to decorate its bottles. The Dalmore MacKenzie Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled by Dalmore as part of a charity, with part of the proceeds donated to the renovation of the Clan s Castle Leod.
The vintage 1992 17 years Dalmore MacKenzie Highland single malt Scotch whisk was created by Dalmore master distiller Richard Paterson as a tribute to the Clan Mackenzie as well as the stag, and his choice of casks used has created an exceptional single malt. The natural soft amber red hue from the port casks combines the colour of the whisky with the blood of the wounded stag.
