A exquisite vintage 1985 36 year old Enmore VSG Single Cask Guyana Rum, which was distilled in September 1985 and after more than 36 years of maturation in an oak cask with the cask no. 222 was bottled in October 2021 by Heinz Eggert GmbH in the Rum Artesanal limited single cask series without the addition of colourants in a limited edition of only 297 bottles at full proof 54.3% vol.
This historic and old Enmore Single Cask VSG Guyana Rum comes from the last years of the closed Enmore distillery from the German bottler Heinz Eggert GmbH from the Rum Artenasal series, which is well known among connoisseurs. The fine old Enmore VSG Guyana Rum was still distilled in the legendary over 150-year-old Versailles Single Wooden Vat Still with great attention to detail and old tradition from Demerara sugar cane from the surrounding area. The VSG originally comes from the Versailles distillery and produces heavy, long-ageable distillates with huge character.
The extra-long matured vintage 1985 36 years Enmore VSG Guyana Rum shines with a wonderful balance between herbal, fruity and woody notes. On the nose there is thyme, mint, liquorice with woody vanilla, on the palate the Enmore rum shines with a great balance of sweet, fruity notes, thyme, dried fruit and a fine spicy wood note with a long-lasting, harmonious finish and a pronounced mineral character.
