A very rare vintage 1970 34 years-old Glen Grant Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the famous Cask Strength Rare Auld Limited Edition by Duncan Taylor, which was distilled in February 1970 and after 34 years of maturation in a selected sherry cask with cask no. 831 bottled in March 2004 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration in a batch of only 129 individually hand-numbered bottles at cask strength 54.2% vol. This special 34 years-old dark sherry Glen Grant Speyside Single Cask Scotch Whisky has a beautiful dark mahogany colour and is a delight due to its maturity and complexity.
The whiskies offered between 2002 and 2011 by Duncan Taylor in the Peerless Cask Strength Rare Auld Edition acquired by Abe Rosenberg since the early 1960s come from the more than 4000 casks of selected premium distilleries, such as Aberlour, Ben Riach, Bowmore, Brora, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caperdonich, Clynelish, Dallas Dhu, Dalmore, Glen Moray, Glenburgie, Glenesk, Glenlivet, Glenlossie, Glenrothes, Highland Park, Inchgower, Knockando, Linlithgow, Laphroaig, Longmorn, Macallan, Macduff, Miltonduff, Old Pulteney, Springbank, Strathisla, Strathmill, Tamdhu and Tomatin and are all bottled as single cask whiskies in limited editions.
