This rare and stunning vintage 1985 27 year old Glendronach Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled on 13th December 1985, matured for over 27 years in a exquisite Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon with cask no. 1035 and was bottled in October 2013 in the single cask limited release batch no. 9 - series with no added colouring or chill-fitration at natural cask strength 53.7% abv in an edition of only 290 individually hand-numbered bottles.
Each year, Master Distiller Billy Walker selected a handful of individual casks from Glendronach s warehouses and bottled them for special retailers and renowned whisky merchants in the Glendronach limited release single cask bottling series. With exclusive Glendronach whiskies dating back to 1968, there is a wide selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts. Each of these exquisite casks has truly remarkable characteristics and the malt whisky they contain has developed exceptionally well during the long maturation process.
