This rare and stunning vintage 1990 27 year old Glendronach Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled on 4th April 1990, matured for over 27 years in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon with cask no. 7005 and was bottled at 30th May 2017 in the single cask limited release batch 15 - series with no added colouring or chill-fitration at cask strength 53.4% vol. in an edition of only 546 individually hand-numbered bottles.
The vintage 1990 27 years Glendronach Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon Cask No. 7005 Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky is intense, full and heavy, on the nose it is juicy sweet with fruit, herbs, oak, cherries, grapes and dates, the flavour is extremely intense and powerful with tobacco, dark chocolate, sweet oak, dry sherry and aromatic herbs with a very long, elegant and complex finish - an impressive PX sherry cask that can inspire!
Each year, Master Distiller Billy Walker selects a handful of individual casks from Glendronach s warehouses to be bottled in the Glendronach limited release single cask Series.
