This rare and magnificent vintage 1992 26 year old Glendronach Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky was distilled on 5th June 1992, matured for 26 years in an Oloroso sherry butt with cask no. 847 and was bottled on 19th February 2019 in the Glendronach single cask limited release batch no. 17 series in an edition of only 443 individually hand-numbered bottles without added colouring and chill-fill at 56.5% vol.
Each year, Master Distiller Billy Walker selects a handful of individual casks from Glendronach s warehouses and bottles them for special retailers and renowned whisky merchants in the Glendronach limited release single cask bottling series. With exclusive Glendronach whiskies dating back to 1968, there is a wide range of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts. Each of these exquisite casks has truly remarkable characteristics and the malt whisky they contain has developed exceptionally well during the long maturation process.
The exclusive Vintage 1992 26 years Glendronach Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky has a wonderful body and shines in the nose with dried fruits, dark sherry, sweet and spicy, with fine wood and plums, the taste is warm and well-balanced, sweet with fruits, notes of different woods, plums, tobacco, leather, spices, honey, oranges, oak and chocolate, the finish is long and sweet, pleasantly spicy with oranges, dried fruits and woody notes - an outstanding Glendronach Highland Single Malt!
