This rare and exquisite vintage 1993 23 year old Glendronach Highland single malt Scotch whisky was distilled on 19th February 1993, matured for over 23 years in a select sherry butt with cask no. 447 and was bottled in August 2016 exclusively for The Nectar and La Maison Du Whisky without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at cask strength 51.7% vol. in an edition of only 642 individually hand-numbered bottles.
The Glendronach 1993 23 Years Sherry Butt Cask No. 447 Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky is complex and fruity, on the nose it shows intense aromas of sultanas, cherries, marzipan with sherry and oak, the taste is warm and oily with fine fruit sweetness, nuts, sultanas, sweets, dark chocolate, vanilla, leather and mint with a refreshing and medium-long finish - a great sherry cask!
Each year, Master Distiller Billy Walker selects a handful of individual casks from Glendronach s warehouses and bottles them in the Glendronach limited release single cask series. With exclusive Glendronach whiskies dating back to 1968, there is a wide selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts.
