This rare and magnificent vintage 1993 25 year old Glendronach Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky was distilled on 19th March 1993, matured for over 25 years in a selected sherry butt with cask no. 659 and was bottled exclusively for Cava Benito in Andorra on 25th May 2018 without the addition of colourants and chill-filtration at cask strength 59.1% vol. in an edition of only 556 individually hand-numbered bottles.
Each year, Master Distiller Billy Walker selects a handful of individual casks from Glendronach s warehouses and bottles them in the Glendronach limited release single cask series. The vintage 1993 25 years Glendronach Sherry Butt Cask No. 659 Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky is very rich and fruity, on the nose it shows caramel, coffee, chocolate, prunes, roasted almonds, leather and fine sherry, the taste is oily and thick with fine sweetness, Oloroso sherry, chocolate, dried fruit, dates, prunes and sultanas with an intense and long finish - an impressive sherry cask!
