A rare old and terrific Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky with the early Kiln label and black screw cap, which was probably bottled in the late 1980s / early 1990s as a limited edition 1.0 litre bottling. This special Highland single malt matured for many years in the finest sherry casks and was bottled without the addition of colouring at cask strength 60.0% vol.
The Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength Highland single malt scotch whisky was originally created in 1968 as a Christmas gift for friends and staff of the distillery and was revolutionary at the time with straight from the cask 60.0% vol. and was in stark contrast to the usual standard 40.0% vol. of blended whiskies predominantly bottled in the 1960s. The exceptional whisky won many enthusiastic fans within a short time and the cask strength whisky was born. The designation 105 comes from the outdated British proof system and is the conversion of 60.0% ABV.
